Buying a home is an extremely daunting process, and in our case, it was even more so due to the fact that we had just moved across the country to live in an area we had only previously visited once. Luckily, we were connected with Jon Mottern, who not only assuaged all our fears of the unknown, but also got us excited about the process. Jon is extremely well-versed in the Denver market and when we told him what we were looking for, he crafted a search that only yielded the results that were suitable to us. On occasion, when I found something outside those parameters, he was always willing to discuss it while still being honest about how it would or would not meet our needs. At no point during this process did I feel any pressure from Jon to make a decision. He was always available to take us on tours and on more than one occasion when walking in a home, he could tell by the look on my face that it just wasn't right, and he insisted that we not waste our time. When you know, you know - and Jon is a big proponent of that follow your instinct school of thought, which I truly appreciated. It didn't matter how many homes we immediately turned down on sight, he always had another option for us, so I never felt like our back was against the wall. When we were really ready to get serious about making an offer, Jon was prepared. He met us the day after returning from his vacation in Paris, jet lagged yet still completely motivated and ready to put our needs first! That Sunday we fell in love with a home and he immediately got to work on writing an offer that we were comfortable with so we could submit it that night. He also gave us his honest opinion about the home and what he thought might make it difficult for resale down the road, which I sincerely appreciated. I never got the impression that he was just in it for the sale but instead felt genuinely taken care of throughout the whole process, knowing he had our best interest in mind. Jon truly puts his clients first - he was in constant contact with us, even while on vacation, and wanted to make sure that the home we ended up in would be exactly what we wanted. Thanks to his negotiation skills, we were able to attain a credit from the seller and go under contract $10k under list price! I could not recommend him more! If it wasn't for Jon, my husband and I wouldn't be moving into our dream home - within our price range, in a family neighborhood and in a great school district! We will never use anyone else!

I listed my house For Sale by Owner on Zillow, because my home was in an excellent location and I thought I could sell it easily myself. This proved to be harder than I thought. Once I listed my home, I received many calls from agents wanting to sell it for me. I was turned off by most of their personalities and approaches. Jon was different, however. He approached me with a down-to-earth and helpful attitude that helped me immediately trust him. He made an offer I couldn't refuse, so I knew his negotiating skills were excellent! Jon went on to further prove that he was always on top of things for me and he saved the day more than once whenever issues arose with the sale. He has a hands-on approach that I greatly appreciate. Jon's intuition and recommendation when it came to choosing a buyer was spot-on! In the end, Jon procured more money for me than I would have on my own, all while being an excellent help in the process. I'm so glad to have met and worked with him!

The idea of selling our home and buying a new one at the same time was scary for us, but Jon made the experience enjoyable and painless. His constant communication and availability to chat or answer questions kept our minds at ease and made us feel totally comfortable with our choices. He was always there without ever pressuring or rushing a decision in any way. He was extremely patient as we decided what we wanted and quick to move when we were ready. Additionally his negotiation skills are out of this world. Once we decided we were ready to sell our old home and put in an offer on a new one, things moved quickly and efficiently. We were able to get into our dream home in a neighborhood we never thought was possible, and he sold our old house for more than we ever expected! I literally did not even know that real estate agents could be so wonderful. Without a doubt, we will be using Jonathan for each and every real estate transactions we have moving forward. Jonathan was always warm, professional, incredibly on top of things, always willing to take as much time as needed to answer questions, and in many ways went far beyond the call of duty to help make sure that everything went smoothly and that we felt taken care of. He is knowledgable, approachable, and really, really good at what he does. I almost want to tell you not to work with Jonathan because I want him to always be available, but I like him too much to do that. I cannot say enough about working with Jon. He absolutely knows the areas of town, he was always responsive to both email and text, and in a market that can break souls and dreams he knocked it out of the park. I was hunting in the most sought after inflated market in Denver as a first time homeowner with limited range and funds. I was skeptical of even trying, in fact another agent had essentially told me I had no chance in hell and she refused to work with me. I shortly called up Jon, we started working together on Fridays and two week later I was under contract in the area I wanted and well under my budget, in a house that needs nothing. I believe 110% that if I was not working working with Jon, I would still be house hunting or have given up completely.

My husband and I thought we could sell our house in the Highlands on our own - its a hot neighborhood and our house ideally situated. We were wrong; we tried and failed miserably. We contacted Jon and we got a second opinion from another agent who shall go unnamed. Let's just take the high road here and say that we are so very very thankful that we chose Jon.
